How To Read Guitar Tabs Clear and Easy
How to read guitar tabs is a question I've been asked now for quite some time. So it was only fitting that I create a site to help you and others like you learn how to aquire this skill.
If you talk to different people and ask them for their definition for guitar tabs, you'll receive a variety of answers. Some folks will say it's the lyrics with the chords written above, like this ...
Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
... while others will say it's a tab diagram of the song that shows the guitarist exactly how to strum or fingerpick a song, like this ...
E -----2---------------------3-------
B --------3------------------3-------
G ------------------------0----------
D --------1------------3-------------
A -----------0------2----------------
E --------------3--------------------
... so this site will eventually be a combination of both. To get things off the ground though, I'm going to start with the former definition of the lyrics and chords together and then progress into the more detailed diagrams on how to learn "tabs", as it's called.
Here you're going to find all sorts of guitar tablature covering everything from country, classic rock, easy listening, Irish, some classical and a few others.
I'm offering this variety because my other sites have guitar instructional tutorials that cover these styles, and I know that people like you have been demanding a variety of tabs from one site.
